INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION FOR THE INTERPRETATION OF CONTEMPORARY MUSIC – SIXTH EDITION

The Flavio Vespasiano Foundation, following the great success of previous editions and continuing in its mission to promote the study and interpretation of modern and contemporary music, is pleased to announce the sixth edition of the International Contemporary Music Performance Competition, open to individual performers as well as vocal and instrumental chamber ensembles.

The competition is open to solo performers or vocal/instrumental ensembles of up to five members, provided that participants have not exceeded the age of 35 as of September 30, 2025. For chamber groups, the average age of the members must not exceed 35.

Winners will have the opportunity to perform as part of the program of the seventeenth edition of the Reate Festival, which will take place in Rome and Rieti during October and November 2025.

To participate in the International Contemporary Music Performance Competition, candidates must present works composed between 1945 and the present day, by composers of any nationality, whether published or unpublished.

Selection will be based on submitted video material.
